Alterraun Verner graduated from Mayfair High School in 2006. He was a peer tutor in math and history for his football teammates.
His UCLA Athletics biography lists him as a team career scholar-athlete with a 4.17 GPA. The Daily Bruin reported that SAT score as 1740. He earned a UCLA degree in math and applied science.
In the NFL he was a 2013 Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro selection, with 15 career interceptions for the Titans, Buccaneers, and Dolphins. He has also done extensive youth mentoring.
